FIG O'REILLY is breaking barriers and creating international impact.

Fig O'Reilly is an actress, producer, STEM advocate, and TV correspondent on CBS’s award-winning series Mission Unstoppable with Miranda Cosgrove. She also made her Broadway producing debut with the revival of The Wiz and is a co-producer for Othello.
In 2019, Fig made history as the first woman of color to win Miss Universe Ireland and represent the country at the Miss Universe competition. Her background is in systems engineering—she earned her degree at The George Washington University. Then Fig became a NASA Datanaut in the agency’s open innovation program, where she collaborated with engineers and scientists to harness NASA’s open data.
As a science communicator, she's worked with NASA and the European Space Agency to share stories from some of the most exciting missions in recent years, including the InSight mission to Mars, the historic all-female spacewalk, and Ireland’s first-ever satellite launch. She is also the founder of Space to Reach, which connects women in STEM through mentorship and a monthly lifestyle newsletter.
Fig's work has been recognized on both sides of the Atlantic. She has been named a White House Historical Association Next-Gen Leader, honored by Ireland’s Prime Minister for advocating for underrepresented communities, and awarded distinctions such as the Diversity in Tech Trailblazer Award and the African American Irish Diaspora Network’s Heritage and Spirit Award.
