FIG O'REILLY

Fionnghuala (“Fig”) O’Reilly is an Irish & American actress and correspondent for CBS's award-winning television series Mission Unstoppable. The STEM advocate & entrepreneur made history in 2019 as the first woman of color to win Miss Universe Ireland and compete at the international Miss Universe beauty pageant. O'Reilly recently made her Broadway producing debut as a Co-Producer for the revival of the historic musical The Wiz

O'Reilly has a bachelor of science from The George Washington University in systems engineering, which led her to become a NASA Datanaut working in the data science open innovation program at the agency. As an aspiring citizen astronaut, she has flown in zero gravity.

Again making history in 2021 as the youngest Honorary Fellow recipient in the 186-year history of Engineers Ireland, Fig has served as an ambassador for the organization to support outreach efforts to students.

Recognized as a White House Historical Association Next-Gen Leader and by Taoiseach Micheál Martin as an advocate for communities of color in Ireland, Fionnghuala was awarded the African American Irish Diaspora Network’s Heritage and Spirit Award in 2022. In 2023, she was awarded the Trailblazer Award at the Diversity in Tech Awards in partnership with J.P. Morgan for breaking stereotypes and empowering women.
